Cellulite knows no Boundaries - All Races and Backgrounds Can Get It

When it comes to cellulite, anyone can fall victim to it. People all over the world complain about cellulite. Though it mostly affects women, many men also report their disgust for cellulite on their bodies. Cellulite is not caused by poor diet and exercise. People of all shapes and sizes have reported issues of cellulite on their thighs, buttocks, arms, and back. Cellulite is not the same as moral body fat which hovers around muscle tissue and bones. Cellulite is found below the surface of the skin and will not disappear unlike body fat which can be reduced through eating properly and exercising. This is not to say that a person should not exercise and eat the right amount of food. But it will not cure cellulite or keep more from showing up anywhere on a person's body.

Most doctors agree that cellulite is genetic. This means if a person's parents had cellulite, chances are they will too. This is why anyone can be a candidate for cellulite. Hormonal changes in the body may also play a role in cellulite production. This may explain why more women suffer from it than men. Women's hormones change all the time. Illness, pregnancy, menstrual cycles can alter hormone levels. This is why diet and exercise are important. There are many treatment options available to those who can afford them. But in many parts of the world, people are too poor to spend money on trying to rid themselves of cellulite. But for people who can afford treatments, they may be wasting their money.

Many treatments do not work. This can create a sense of false hope for those who are desperate for a cure. The cellulite may appear less after treatment, but in a few weeks, the cellulite will return. Treatments will have to be performed over and over in order to maintain cellulite free thighs and legs.

Since anyone can get cellulite at any time during their lives, it is important to remember that diet and exercise are important to stay healthy and lead a long life. Though not painful, cellulite can lower a person's self-esteem. They can grow depressed which cold lead to other health issues. Eating a diet high in calcium and protein will help make cellulite appear less noticeable. When depressed, a person will notice everything they do not like about their body. This could prevent a person from going outside, socializing with friends and family, or pursue activities that would enjoy. Begin comfortable with one's body is very important when struggling with cellulite.

Cellulite does not go away over time. In fact, in many cases, it just gets worse. Everyone is capable of developing cellulite. More and more research is being done to find the gene responsible for cellulite production. This could mean that people will not longer have to deal with the bumpiness and the embarrassment of cellulite. In the meantime, eat healthy foods and exercise. A healthy body could mean a healthy life for years to come.
